Posted October 07, 2018 08:59:51 The Fair Trade Fair Trade Coffee Company is asking for your help in its effort to get fair trade certified.
The coffee company says it’s hoping to have the coffee certified within two years.
“We need to start with coffee that is organic, and we have a long way to go,” said Laura Lutz, a Fair Trade Certified Coffee Technician.
The Fair Trade certified coffee is certified under the Fair Trade Agreement, a global agreement between the United Nations and countries including the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the European Union.
The company is hoping that the certification will help it make money from selling coffee to coffee bars and restaurants around the world.
“What we really need to do is get fair coffee certified in the United Kingdom.
It’s just so important to get that certification,” Lutz said.
The coffee company is also asking people to donate money to support its Fair Trade campaign.
