Sixers trade rumor: A three-way deal involving Joel Embiid, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Kyle O’Quinn
Joel Embid and GiannisAntetokoukounmpi are among the top players the Sixers could move in the next few weeks.
The teams are in the middle of an extended trade war and are reportedly in negotiations with a number of players, including Sixers big man Joel Embaide, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo!
Sports.
Sources told ESPN’s Marc Stein that Embiide, who signed a five-year, $110 million contract with the Sixers in July, is the team’s top target.
The Sixers have shown interest in acquiring the 6-foot-10 point guard and were believed to be one of the teams that had interest in the Bucks’ John Henson, who reportedly turned down a five year, $30 million offer from the Sixers to join the franchise.
Sources also told ESPN that Embaid’s representatives are looking at Giannis and Kyle for a three-team deal.
The four-way trade could send Embiidi to the Bucks, Bucks, Heat and Heat-to-Bucks.
Sources tell ESPN’s Brian Windhorst that the Bucks would be in the mix if the trade goes down as well.
The Bucks are still waiting to hear if Embiiden will return to Milwaukee and have not been able to make contact with the team.
The Heat, Bucks and Heat have also been linked to Embiids return.
The Sixers would like to move a top pick in the 2017 NBA Draft and could offer Giannis an additional four years in Milwaukee, per Woj, but the Bucks are not in the picture.
The Bulls, who have made the playoffs every season since 2011, have shown an interest in Embiides return.
